March 6, 2019Age: 86Residence: EatonDonna Lee Markley, 86, of Eaton, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Grace Pointe in Greeley. She was born on Feb. 8, 1933, in North Loup, Neb., to Leo Herbert and Lucile Velma (Stone) Holeman.Donna grew up in Nebraska and Wyoming, graduating from Torrington High School in Torrington, Wyo., in 1950. On June 4, 1950, she married Bill Markley in Torrington. He died on April 21, 2016. After their marriage, Donna and Bill moved to Greeley, where she became a homemaker.She also cleaned the Chief and Colorado theaters with her husband when they were first married. She was an Eaton school bus driver. They spent a lot of time doing outdoor activities with their families.Donna enjoyed camping, fishing (which she was very good at) and bowling. She also enjoyed attending activities of their grandchildren. She loved playing cards and games with her grandchildren and family.Donna was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eaton.Donna is survived by her daughters, Debi Dyer (Randy), Diana Wiedeman (Perry) and Alice Geisick (Doug) all of Eaton; son, Jeff Markley of Eaton; sister, Elsie Markley of Loveland; two sisters-in-law, Patty Ray of LaSalle and Shirley Jones of Greeley; two brothers-in-law, Gary Werner of Hastings, Neb., and Bill Rusch of Torrington; seven grandchildren, Erin Livingstone (Geoff), Jay R. Wiedeman (Emily), Terra Morgan (Joe), Nathan Wiedeman (Becky), Kelli Burmeister (Chuck), Amber Girdler (Kyle) and Levi Dyer (Ashton); and 17 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill.Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2019, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 28th St., Greeley.In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Front Range Hospice in care of Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 28th St., Greeley, Colo. 80634.Please visit www.stoddardsunset.com to sign an online guestbook.
